One of our goals is to maximise the potential for local produce through catering education. Many education providers already do a great job explaining why we should use local and sustainable produce. But there are still barriers to the commercial and practical aspects of making this a reality in the workplace.
We aspire to work with education providers across the region to develop the food education curriculum, particularly the commercial aspects around using local produce, whilst continuing to champion the use of locally procured food, raise the standards of sustainability and to educate on the benefits and methods to shorten supply chains in practice in the workplace.
